  Hooping is like hula hooping but better! Visit www.hooping.org to see why it is coming around again. Hooping demos and free lessons all day. Hoops available for purchase or for rental.
• Greening Up The Mountains 5K Run/Walk - Saturday, April 26, 2008 - Beginning at 9:00am at Mark Watson Park and winding through historic downtown Sylva. Prizes for top finishers overall and in each age group!

• Meetings - Second Monday of each month, 6 PM at Town Hall.
• The Jackson County Farmers Market is each Saturday from May through October, on the site of the future Bridge Park, from 9AM-Noon. There are 15 or more vendors, selling locally grown, usually organic, vegetables, plants, and fruits, as well as baked goods, crafts, hand made soaps, and much much more.
• Prints of Anne Vasilik's watercolor of Downtown Sylva are for sale at Livingston's Photo, Blackrock Outdoor Co., Massie Furniture, City Lights Bookstore and the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, sponsored by WRGC radio and with proceeds to benefit the Bridge Park Project.
