Ward 8 Non-Profit Collaboration for Covid-19 Relief

Your support allows Thrive East of The River partnership to help historically marginalized families living in Washington, DC’s Ward 8 weather the immediate dangers of the COVID-19 crisis while strengthening their foundation for a more resilient future. We would like to thank the Urban Institute and LISC DC for being research and support partners in this effort.

Your tax-deductible donation will support our efforts to:

  • Alleviate crisis by providing up to 500 families in Ward 8 with five months of financial support, healthy food and dry goods (e.g. cleaning supplies, detergent, toiletries, etc.)
  • Stabilize families, connecting them to the full range of supportive resources for which they are eligible, including tax credits, unemployment insurance, and health and safety net programs
  • Foster mobility and assist families in securing a more resilient future through coordinated wrap-around services and connections to jobs

Our success in creating a more equitable Washington, DC would not be possible without you. Thank you for making this happen. Thank you for giving today.

I feel very grateful and blessed to have found such an organization that cares about their community in such a great way..  I thank you all for being Heroes right now during this COVID-19 pandemic. You all are making the community much better every day.
